Aims and Scope

Transport Phenomena in Nano and Micro Scales is now Challenges in Nano and Micro Scale Science and Technology!

Challenges in Nano and Micro Scale Science and Technology is an open access, peer reviewed journal that considers all articles in the broad field of nano-sciences, including research on fundamental concepts, new developments and the application of nano sciences to broad range of research fields, industry, and related disciplines. It provides an inclusive platform for the dissemination and discussion of nano-science and nanotechnology to aid the advancement of all areas of research in these fields.

Why did we change the name of the journal?

While we were receiving more and more papers relating to nano and micro scales science, we were limited to publish selected papers related to Transport Phenomena only. With this new title, and broader scope, there will be no more restriction on Transport Phenomena theme, but now we are commitment to publish high-quality open access research across all of all nano and micro scales, including transport phenomena.

Have the aims and scope changed?

Yes, it is broader now. The scope of the journal now covers all areas of nano and micro scales research. No further focus on transport phenomena solely.

Will papers be handled in the same way?

The basic peer-review workflow will remain the same. However, there will be an expanded Advisory Board to cover papers in all areas of nano and micro scales research. Prof. Massoud Kaykhaii will act as the new chief editor of the journal.

Will the journal under the old name be archived?

Yes. While the journal title is changed, all previously published papers maintain the same under the name of Transport Phenomena in Nano and Micro Scales as volumes 1-7 (2013-2019). The DOIs and citation details for those papers will not change also.

Under which journal name my article will be published?

All articles accepted before year 2020 will publish under Transport Phenomena in Nano and Micro Scales. All articles accepted after that date will publish under Challenges in Nano and Micro Scale Science and Technology.

In which abstracting and indexing services is the journal under the new name included?

All previously indexing services will be the same. Journal is under evaluation of Scopus right now and we hope that our papers to be indexed by Scopus soon.
